MCNLive on older PC

[bewerk] MCNLive also usable on older PC
You have to install a different kernel when you want to use MCNLive on for instance a PII-system.
urpmi kernel-legacy
After that you have to make a two step remaster, because you can not remove the old kernel from a running system.
1. remaster, with an extra setting:
mklivecd --kernel 2.6.17-somethingwithlegacy-5mdv <--- this is the directorie with contains the new kernel. You can find it under /lib/modules
2. remaster: deinstall the first standard kernel
Legacy has the same modules as the standardkernel. But it is better in handling older hardware. Discovers 1 GB RAM at max and uses 800 MB. Legacy runs faster on all hardware. Legacy is also the Mandriva One kernel. Some old AMD systems need it, with the standard kernel those systems will not boot.
Besides that it's probably better to use a different windowmanager. KDE will use to much resources. XFCE or Windowmanager could be good choices.
